We have survived the first week! WOOHOOO! Seriously we have the best baby ever. I mean look at her. She is pretty much the cutest thing alive. Presleys hobbies include: sleeping(which hopefully tonight is good), pooping(mustard glorious mustard), tooting( Seriously she has horrible gas, it is soooo foul), more sleeping, more pooping, and lots of tooting. Zach started with the nickname Miss Peabody and now it has evolved into Presley Party Pants. Things has been going good. We all are learning. But getting up in the middle of the night is not so bad. Ive adjusted. Its hard to be mad at something so precious. Zach and I are so grateful for the opportunity to be parents. We absolutely LOVE our little Presley. I love watching Zach be such a good daddy. It melts my heart day after day. He is already wrapped around this girls little finger and shes only a week old.

What Next?
I had a doctors appointment today and what do you know, I have high blood pressure. But Im dialated to a 1 and 60% effaced. All those shuffle steps, shuffle ball changes, jump claps and maxifords are doing their job. We might be having this baby sooner than I thought. I will know either tomorrow or the day after what the results were from my blood tests so I will keep you all informed. Dr. Beck has once again put me on "bed rest" for the next day or two until we know the results. You all know how much I LOVE bed rest. This round of bed rest doesnt really bother me because I was able to get everything done on Saturday for little miss P's arrival. I sent Zach to red box Highschool musical 3 and will probably send him for more movies later today. Everything else is perfect. Baby girl is measuring and developing perfectly and thats what really matters to me. I will endure the bed rest if it keeps her healthy and happy. I did find out Dr. Beck is having back surgery April 3, which is before my due date but he said to not worry about it right now because it looks to him we might be having a baby before then. *crossing my fingers*.

Can I get that with a side order of Heart burn?
I have had heart burn through out this whole pregnancy. There is this old wives tale that if you have heartburn your baby will have hair and If I choose to believe this Im a little worried my child will look like this...
Look at all that hair! At the same time Im worried she will come out looking like a bald old man.Is there no happy medium? Back to the heart burn... EVERYTHING gives me heart burn these days. A drink of cold water.... how about some heartburn? You know how spicy water can be, right? Bread anyone? Ill take mine with heartburn. Fruit, heartburn. Cereal, heartburn. Peanut Butter, heartburn. Get the point? EVERYTHING gives me heartburn. If I have to eat another TUMS I might as well shoot myself. Zach will often joke as he sees me pull the Tums container out, lunch time already? My family is a big believer in the power of Tums. Its like my family to tums= the dad on My Big Fat Greek Wedding is to Windex. It can pretty much cure anything. But truly eating like a gazillion tums a day can make anyone lose their love for it. Im getting so excited for this little girl to come out just so I wont have heartburn anymore. OH HAPPY DAY!

Slave Boy
Due to our little happenings over the weekend Zach has become slave boy. I have to say it is quite fun! Ive never had a slave before. I took the weekend off and Im feeling a ton better. I freaked out there for a second but now everything is okay. I havent had any contractions since Saturday so I think were in the clear(crossing my fingers). I am a go go go kind of person and its hard for me to just rest. I think the whole pre term labor stuff was Baby girls way of letting me know shes the boss, not me. My mom has taken my off bed rest but says I am not allowed to do hardly anything I was doing anymore. Looks like I will sitting teaching dance this week and Zach will continue to be slave boy. Thanks so much for all your comments of love and reassurance.

Diagnosis: Bed Rest
That's right folks. Bed rest. Last night or should I say early morning I woke up with horrible back pain and what felt like menstrual cramps. These pains were continuous for an hour and a half. See it was 5 am and I felt so bad calling my mom to see if these were normal pains or not so I waited until 6:30. I woke my mom up, asked my question and she said that I should go to the hospital because it sounded like labor pains to her. Baby girl is not due for 5 weeks so this threw me off quite a bit and I began to worry. As much as I want her out, she is not done cooking yet and I am in no way ready (i.e room, necessities, the list goes on and on and on) for her to make her debut. My mom called back and said I should call the doctor just to make sure the hospital was the best choice. The on call doctor said to lay down and drink lots of water, if my contractions don't let up at all then I should go to the hospital. Well I have been laying down all day and I want to pull my hair out! This is so not me. I feel so helpless. I feel so stressed out. I feel completely overwhelmed. Ive just been looking at my house thinking about all the things I would rather be doing(cleaning, shopping for those things I don't have, going to a baby shower, laundry) The contractions have been going on and off all day, none have been as bad as this morning. I truly hope this is not a permanent thing. I could very well lose my mind.
