About 3 years ago we went to Disneyland for Thanksgiving. Well, we went last year too but that was not when this story took place. The Barrons met us there and we Disneyed until out little hearts were content. On the way back to Mesa, the girls in one suburban, the boys in the other, us girls entertained ourselves. The title have chosen was the musical round we girls came up with. Yeah 6 hours and 8 girls jammed into a suburban can be quite a good time. It went a little something like this...

and the other girls chimed in when the wanted. Dont think we dont still sing this song when we get together. In fact, this thanksgiving was the first time we have been together on thanksgiving since this wonderful song was created. The boys want to die everytime we sing it but we laugh and sing louder. We had such a great thanksgiving this year. We started the day off Turkey Trotten with the Vance family. I ran the 10k in 30 minutes and Zach in 35. You would think it would be opposite since his legs are like 3 feet longer than mine. Wimp!!! Okay, Im lying. I walked the 2 mile fun run. From the moment we woke up Zach kept saying, " fun and run do NOT belong in the same sentence."

As you can tell we were very serious about the Turkey trot. We had thanksgiving with my family and headed back the Vances for dessert. The remainder of the week we spent time with family and Zach was able to participate in my brother Kyles ordination to a Elder. This is Kyles last Thanksgiving and Christmas with us before he leaves for a mission and You could tell as we all pretty much bawled the whole ordination. We are so thankful for our families. They all mean the world to us.

Im sorta having a complex.

I saw Twilight last night. It was okay. Not my favorite movie but it entertained me for a few hours. Im actually really disappointed that Im not more of a fan. Edward just didnt do it for me. He hasnt from the moment I found out what actor it was playing him.You see, I just pictured this guy....
I mean look at that face! How could you not think he was so dreamy? So Movie Edward... Sorry buddy. This is my Edward pick. On to the next thing, Carlisle needed to be WAY more gorgeous, Jasper needed to not look like a tooth pick, he needed muscles, Charlie was fantastic just how I pictured him, Same with Esme and Alice. Rosalie was pretty but I needed more. And the whole pale skin too much baby powder look really bugged me. Carlisle was the worst, he looked ridiculous. The spider monkey tree climbing thing... weird.

P.S Wanna see my belly? I dont feel like its poking out as much as it was yesterday. Maybe is had something to do with turkey.

Happy Birthday to my daddy!

I have had this man wrapped around my little finger since the day I was born! I didnt do it on purpose at first but when I learned I had him wrapped it just continued. Truly my dad is one of my best friends. We are so similar. Sometimes that can be a good thing o a bad thing. I catch myself doing things just like he would or reacting to things just like he would. I look up to my dad so much. He is always trying to help someone. By far he is one of the most generous men on the earth. There have been times me and my dad didnt see eye to eye on things and when that happened he would always leave me a bag of Jordan Almonds on my pillow to let me know he loves me and he was sorry about our fight. My dad is truly the funniest person. He always has people rolling on the floor laughing from his jokes. He is a naturally witty person. I love you so much dad and I am so thankful for you and for all you do for me. Happy Birthday!!!

P.S - I survived the night. Zach was on a camping trip with the teachers leaving Zoey and I to fend for ourselves. Its time like these I love having a gate to get into my house, bars on my windows and a special lock that can only be unlocked through the inside. It was the best night. Pizza, Lipstick Jungle, and a little cleaning.

No love from the bees

Dear Zach,

How dare you try and mow the lawn. Didnt you see my hive a couple of months ago in the Fig tree? Werent you scared? Well if you werent I hope you are now. Next time you wont be so lucky. You really made me and my bee friends mad, so we swarmed you. Its your own fault. Next time 20 stings, will multiply. Be afraid, BEE very afraid.

Thats right, my poor husband was swarmed by bees yesterday while mowing the lawn. It was probably one of the scariest things Ive witnessed in my life( I didnt just stand there and watch, I tried to help) He's doing okay today, alittle swollen in places. He had an upset stomach this morning and a fever last night. Hes tough though. Im just glad he didnt have a serious reaction to the 20 bee stings on his body.

Is it too Early?

I know Thanksgiving hasnt even come but 99.9 is already playing Christmas music and its getting me so excited. This totally happened with Halloween, I got all excited for Halloween. I decorated and everything and then like the week before I was over it. I wanted Thanksgiving to be here. I wanted yummy food and pumpkin pie! Well, here it is 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and I want to change my blog background to Christmas and I want to Put my Christmas Music up on my blog. Is it too early? Am I jumping the gun? Do I need to just relax and in due time it will all happen? Am I crazy? Well, I am a bit crazy. You dont have to tell me that. I already know.

She posted Again!

My Mom posted again. Thats right 2 whole posts in like 3 months. She is really getting good at this thing. I told her no one would know because she never posts. So, Im using my blog to make a shout out and say Please check my moms blog. She gets so happy when people comment on her blog.

BABY GIRL VANCE!!!! Easton Heywood and Baby Boy Huffaker, let the games begin. You are going to have to impress this girls mama and daddy! We are so excited for the news. We were convinced it was a boy so when the Doctor showed the "between the legs" shot and that "mysterious" 3rd leg Zach was convinced he saw our first ultra sounds at 10 weeks was gone we knew it was girl. Of course I began to tear up!! I truly am so bad at this whole being pregnant thing. I promise we will take a picture of the belly tonight(it usually pops out more at the end of the day.) When all of my siblings and I were born my dad would go down to the Hospital gift shop and buy gum cigars and give them out to everyone he walked by. So, I knew this is how we had to tell our family. After, the doctors we went to Banner Gateway Hospital and picked up some pink gum cigars, then we stopped by Bashas and picked up " Its a girl" balloons for our parents. I cant wait to start decorating her room!!!

I just Love Sundays

I just love Sundays! After being spiritual fed( I got released from Primary and now I get to be fed instead of feed) Zach and I come home, eat grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup and watch FOOTBALL GAME AFTER FOOTBALL GAME AFTER FOOTBALL GAME!!! I learn something new about football every week. Sometimes it takes Zach about 30-45 seconds to actually respond to my questions but he always answers them eventually. Hes not very good at multi-tasking. Pretty much Im going straight to the Celestial Kingdom for being such a nice wife.

Never ending Weekend

I never thought I would say this, but is this weekend going to ever end? Its only 1:28 on Saturday and Im dieing.I cant find enough things to keep myself busy. We find out what our precious baby is at 10:50 on Monday morning and last night I didnt sleep very good at all! All these thoughts were going through my head.I should have kept some Phenergen hidden for these next couple of days so I could sleep. Ha ha!

Through out my pregnancy I have had a lot of questions. My favorite one of them all is... so how many more do you think you will have? Why is this one my favorite you ask? This answer has changed a few times in the last 4 months and I'm sure it will change as I get bigger and more uncomfortable and go through labor and delivery and so on. If you would have asked me at 6-10 weeks I would have told you " Ill have one, thanks". In fact, as I was lying on a hospital bed with an IV sticking out of my arm, I turned to Zach and said " I hope this is a boy, cause this is your only child babe." Yesterday morning when I thought I had a baby Renesmae coming out of my stomach I would have said ONE again. Let me clarify Renesmae, I wasn't in any pain, I think the baby just moved to one side and it was bulging out more than anywhere else. It was a little weird. But later that afternoon, I would have told you maybe 3 or 4. Ive been feeling better, I don't have to take my medicine as much and some days I can make it through the whole day without it. 3 or 4 sound good today too. Im leaning more towards 3.
