Nighttime adventures of Zachy Poo Take 2

Zach is already asleep. He has an early doctors appointment tomorrow. Don't worry he just carried on a full conversation with himself. Its been kinda quiet over here at Vance house. No sudden punches to the face lately, at which I am grateful for.

Zach and I are different sizes. Like I said his 6'4" to my 5'2" is why our baby is in the 90% in height( you like how I throw that in there? You didnt forget did you?that my baby is tall? Cause she is) .Anways... we were so fortunate to receive a Cal King Bed when we got married. Zach worked for a mattress company called My Comfort/ intellibed. So that was our wedding present. Which was AWESOME! Because beds are expensive and this brand is REEEEAALLLY expensive. And we got it for free. I love free things. I remember my mother in law telling me when my in laws were first married they shared a double size bed, I think. You see, Dad Vance is 6'5" and mom Vance is probably 5'6"-5'8". I could remember thinking a DOUBLE SIZED BED! Say what!? Im glad we never had to rough it like that. Even with a Cal King Zach still thinks its cool to sleep diagonal. Why? I will never know. Does this make me happy? Nope. Where do my feet go? Scrunched up. And for some reason my pillow will Always be better than Zachs. Is it in real life? No. He requires expensive latex pillows for his sweet noggin. I require a $10 pillow from Target. Not a night goes by that Zach is not sharing my pillow with me. And at 2:00 in the morning... I want to rip his head off. I push him back to his side. I dont cuddle. When I am sleeping dont touch me. Okay? okay. Because if you do... I wake up and then I am cranky. And there are only 3 things that make me REALLY cranky... 1. sleep deprivation, 2. hungry, 3. Hot. Okay there may be more. But thats besides the point.

P.s- he's talking again. He's wacko.

Yo-Yo crazy

So Ive been a little crafty lately. When Presley is in bed I get to do what I want. Ive been wanting to learn how to make these lately because seriously they are darling and I dont really want to pay someone to make them for me. They are the latest fashion for hair accessories aside from the flowers. Ive made some for P and some for me. And some for some girls named Niki, so anyone named Niki please be surprised when you see this. Okay? okay. Ive been spending way to much money on fabric. Good thing Zach thinks its a great hobby. Shhhh.... dont tell him how much fabric usually costs. Thanks.

I also made this little outfit for Miss P and for Rapunzel aka Grace, Jami's little girl. So fun and so cute!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love double sided fusible fabric? Cause I do. I made these little onesies for a few friends that are having little boys. It totally adds to the white onesies that babies live in at the beginning.

Living Life in a whirlwind.

Having a baby has sure given me a new perspective on life. There shall be no more flying by the seat of my pants. Pre-baby days I would pack too many things into my day thinking I was superwoman and somehow would get them all done. I was a full time student, dance teacher, musical theater teacher, working as a secretary for my dad, worked at my internship at the Arizona design center and on top of all that I was trying to be a good wife. There were the occasional lunch dates with girlfriends, grooming appointments for Zo and LOTS and LOTS of homework. See being an Interior Designer your work never was a 9-5er. No You wake up in the middle of the night because you dreamed about how the kitchen should be layed out and where you are going to be the bathroom because of plumbing lines. So its quick to the drawing board and then hours later you have layed out the kitchen but still have the bathroom to attend to.Pre-baby days I lived life like a tornado. It was from one thing to the next. Of course there were hiccups in my day but it was okay because I could always rearrange something so it would work or if it didnt work I would mope around feeling frustrated and thinking I was a failure. How come I couldnt do a bazillion things? How did it not work? I had everything planned just so. It should have worked. You see this is an inherited quality. One of the those personality traits you shake your fist to the high heavens and curse. I get it from my dad. He too packs to many things in one day thinking he is superman and if it doesnt go according to plan... he mopes. Tis true. The funny thing is he got it from his mother. So it has taken me 5 long months to figure out someone and something else is in control. Sure Miss P and I have a schedule. Sleep, eat, play, sleep, eat, play, Every single day. But the times always change. One day shes up at 6 the next she is up at 9. I never know when my day is going to begin or when she really will be taking her nap. So how do I schedule MY life? How do I schedule the things I need to get done? I just do. I schedule things and for some reason THAT day she needs to be sleeping when I have scheduled things or she needs to eat. And everytime this happens I get frustrated. I enter a bad mood. I mope. I cant be superwoman. I cant do a bazillion things in one day. Miss P wont allow it. At the end of some days I feel completely ridiculous. I feel like Im a joke. What did I do today? nothing. Wrong!! I took care of a baby ALL day long. Thats hard work. Sure I didnt get to run my errands like I had hoped. Sure I didnt get to make the things I wanted to. Sure I completely neglected Zoey all day. Sure I didnt shower and my hair is in a pony tail and I applied ZERO makeup. Whatever. Sometimes I miss those days where I lived my life looking professional in my stiletto heels with my hair curled and everything was in its exact place. Sure I do. Who wouldnt? But then I step back and see where my life has taken me. I have a precious baby girl that I get to be mommy to. I get to see her roll over and sit up first. I get to talk to her all day long. I get the smiles and laughs. And that feels good. So good. For now my stilettos have been replaced with flip flops. Cause their much easier to take care of Presley in.

Miss P's 4.5 Month Stats

Well 4 month shots came and went. I think it was a lot more traumatic on our sweet P this time. I had more of a handle on myself this time around. Poor girl, She hates shots. I was so fortunate to listen to her scream her head off all the way home. Dont get me started on the accident that disrupted our way home! I almost had a panic attack. But shes a health, happy baby. Eats like a horse but surprisingly only weighs 14.4 lbs. Here are her stats.

Weight:14.4lbs- 51%
Height:26 in.-91%
Head circ.: 16.3 in- 52%

I knew I married Zach for a reason! 6'4" compared to my 5'2". My Grandma June Renee' standing tall at a whoping 4'11" did NOT sneak her genes into my baby. However she did sneak them into me and a few other family members. Can you believe it? I have a 91% height baby!! Looks like Im going to have a Vance supermodel daughter. (raising hands to the roof) The Doctor said she will most likely be around 5'7"- 5'-8". And Im holding him to it.

3 Glorious, fun-filled years

Well we made it to our 3rd Anniversary. Whew! 3 down a bazillion more to go. I am so grateful for Zach. He truly is my best friend and not to mention DANG HOT!! I cant imagine life without him. He is such a good husband and daddy. I love watching him with Miss P and it totally brings warm fuzzies to my heart. Thanks babe for a great 3 years. I cant wait to see what the future holds for us. I love you.

Not only is it our 3 year anniversary but today marks the 1 year anniversary that Zach and I found out we were "really" pregnant with this little one. I had taken a few tests before but wasnt absolutely convinced the really faint second line was real. So, my mom made me get a test that read "pregs" or "not pregs". Needless to say we have our sweet Miss P to complete our family for now.
Looky Looky.
Hey Christina, remember when you told me not to get my hopes up about this necklace?.... You little stinker.
Hey Jami, remember when you bet me 10 bucks yesterday telling me Zach wasnt going to get me this necklace and I bet you a 100 he wasnt either? Do I owe you any money?
Needless to say the Man delivered.

The Statement necklace

When it comes to accessorizing I go through fazes. Sometimes I love accessories and cant get enough of them. Sometimes I cant handle it. I cant handle things all over me. Right now I'm feeling I need more. I was looking for some statement accessories and I think I found some. Too bad some are quite out of my price range. I did drop a not too suddle hint to the husband saying if he loved me he would get me this for our anniversary that is coming up on Monday. 3 years baby!

Okay who knows how to do this? Please teach me. I have ideas running wild in my head right now. Bree? Lauren? Christina?

Hows this necklace for statement? Some how I love it. I want it. Maybe when I am a millionaire I will fork out the $200 bucks for it. Maybe.

I love this necklace. This is the one I hinted to Zach.

3:45.... in the A.M

Why when you get an email telling what your baby is doing this week it makes your baby do it? I got an email yesterday saying my baby may not be sleeping through the night anymore.... I laughed and said to myself why yes she is still sleeping through the night thank you! Little did I know P would be waking up at 3:45 this morning. Heres how it went.

{3:45 crying}

Me: Presley what the heck is going on? Its 3:45 in the stinking morning.

P: Oh hi mom, I just was missing your beautiful face. I couldnt stand being away from you any longer. Oh and Im hungry.

Me: mumble mumble mumble You usually make it through the night. You have been for almost 3 months.

P: Oh I know. Sorry? Would a big smile make you feel better?

Me: No! this is not funny. I am tired. I was up late watching dad fix our air conditioning as it dripped over and over onto our bedroom floor.

P: Well... can I still get some food?

Me: mumble mumble mumble... fine.

P: Oh thanks mom your the best!

Me: After I am done you are going right back to sleep. Understand?

P: um... but....uh.....

(4:15)

Me: okay love you (kiss) sleep good.

P: Love you too.....(under her breath) see you in a minute.

{4:20 SCREAMING}

Me: oh for heaven sake. Whats wrong?
P: I think I have gas
Me: ( while administering gas drops) Okay There you go. Night night.

{4:30 Screaming}
Me: P this is getting alittle out of hand.
P: Maybe I have a tooth ache?
me: {administering tylenol} ok. night night.

{4:35 whining}

Me: THIS IS RIDICULOUS! Im tired. I know youre tired. What the heck?
P: Just hold me. Just hold me.
( bouncing, bouncing, more bouncing)

4:55 (sleeping)

Twins {question Mark}

Seriously Could they look any more alike?
Is it just me?

P.S - Today marked the first day of "Firming up the Saggy mom parts you have to get once you have a baby". I could hardly stand looking at my backside while it was almost touching the back of me knee. Thank heavens for Spandex garment bottoms. To top off the day I headed over to Angel Sweet for some gelato... yep, that how I roll. Alittle work out topped off with some gelato.

Easy access

I think the Breastfeeding end may be in sight. Or that could just be my mood talking today. But if it is my mood today then it probably might change tomorrow. I keep going back and forth with the whole breastfeeding thing. I think I truly got lucky when it came to breastfeeding. Presley came out of the womb, latch right on perfectly and it was golden from that very moment. I never had problems with with it hurting or bleeding or cracking. (if you are a boy you may want to stop reading) But from the very start I have almost made myself do it. Yes it is free and Zach and I really need free right now. Yes I love that time I get to just be P and I. I just HATE having to always be easy access with my clothing. It drives me nuts. I feel like frump girl. It put a damper on my day. 5 months of "bleh" is really starting to get to me. Zach and I cleaned our room on Saturday which then led to us cleaning out our closets. And now I just look at those empty hangers and feel sad. I HAVE NO CLOTHES! Im not trying to be so drama right now. I just dont even know where to start. I would love to go out and buy new clothes but buying clothes at this "easy access" period in my life make me want to die. Do I even have style these days? Do I even know what to look for? Am I in a fashion funk? The answer to question 3 is YES. So I am enlisting my fellow bloggers into helping me get myself together. In other words I need help. Fashion help. Who wants to make me over?
