Straight Thuggin' It

Due to School almost being out I have had a few recitals happening this last week.I wanted this last semester to be a fun semester and only being able to take one Interior Design class I enrolled in a Voice class and a Hip Hop dance class. Well, last night we had our "dance" recital. And seeing how I was in a Hip Hop class I had to look as Hip Hop as possible. Well this is what I came up with. Its not that Thugged out but It worked for last night. It was a lot of fun and Zach's first time seeing me dance. I think he was impressed! The pictures are of Myself and a friend named Brittney. We had a lot of fun this semester in class together. Zach was bummed he didnt have the camera during the performance but Im glad he didnt. Im sure I would have been making some crazy facial expression or in some awkward dance move when he would have taken pictures.

Just A little Update

I thought I would just give a little update on whats going on in our life right now. SCHOOLS ALMOST OUT!!! well for the semester anyways, and I couldnt be any happier! We have both worked really hard and both need a break from school. I got an Internship for next semester with a company named Alexander Sinclair.Im so excited about it. I walked into their showroom and was totally floored. It was gorgeous and I consider myself really lucky to be interning there. Maybe their will be a job opportunity after my intern. Its located at the Arizona Design Center and Im happy about that because I will be able to learn what goes on at the design center to aid me for when I start practicing. I thought I would post a couple pictures of Zoey. She got groomed again and looks more like a puppy again to me for some odd reason. But what I went to get her the groomer said " You are going to die when you see her." Well my first reaction was " OH No, what did you do to her this time."(we have had couple of interesting trips to the groomer can you tell?) Well outcomes Zo in this cute little red dress with a big Christmas Bow around her neck. It was adorable. Well the bow had to come off due to Zoey trying to tear it off with her own teeth but she loves her red dress!

DISNEYLAND COUNTDOWN!!!!

For Thanksgiving week Zach and I are going to Disneyland with my side of the family. I have to say this so maybe the Vances will schedule a trip sometime in the near future but this will be our 4th time going with my family in the last 2 years together. So if you guys want to catch up we better get to planning. Most of you already know this but Disneyland is like my home away from home. In my lifetime I have probably been over 50 times. I love it. It holds many childhood memories. I cant wait to take our children so they can create family memories. My favorite part is watching my dad at Disneyland. He, like myself has had many wonderful memories there with his family. Now that both of his parents are gone I think he delights in reliving those memories with us. I thought I would share some photos that I hunted for in some of my moms old photo books. I couldnt find the priceless one where my parents have me on a "leash" when I was younger so sorry about that. The one of me and my brother Kyle flexing is one of the trips where we dominated Dinseyland... the score Us 1, Disneyland 0. 5 MORE DAYS!!!

Saturday Morning Activites

Back in May my parents gave Zach money for his birthday so he could go buy Guitar Hero 2. Then I thought to myself" Oh great, Thanks a lot mom and dad." A couple of months ago Zach convinced me to play.... well I wasnt very good so I pretty much HATED the game. This morning we woke up pretty early due to Zoey sleeping with us last night. She was in her" gated community" for like 8 hours last night so I felt really bad so we let her come cuddle with us in our bed which ended up being all night. This morning since we were up so early I decided to make breakfast and while doing that Zach whips out Guitar hero( he hasnt played in months). So again convincing me to play... I tried this time and had the determination to keep going! We ended up fighting over whos turn it was. I dont think Im hooked but I could play from time to time. The whole family participated.Dont I look FABULOUS in the morning? Please dont be jealous!I had to get my glasses out so I could see which note I was supposed to be playing.. Ha ha!

Good Wife's Guide

Im taking a Marriage and family life class this semester. My teacher handed out this old Housekeeping Article from 1955. All I have to say is boy have times changed.

1. Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

2. Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.

3.Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.

4.Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dustcloth over the tables.

5.During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

6.Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.

7.Be happy to see him.

8.Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.

9.Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.

10.Don't greet him with complaints and problems.

11.Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.

12.Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.

13.Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.

14.Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

15.A good wife always knows her place.

Weston is Loved!

I know my last 2 blogs have been about football. I promise you Im not that die hard fan you all think I am. I just love my husband and love my brothers. Its only fun watching football games when I know who is playing or I have someone to talk to, because us girls know you cant talk to the men during the game. I finally was able to go to Weston's 2nd to last football game today. Hes #5. My whole family never thought Weston would play football. But it being his 9th grade year, I guess if youre "cool" you play(well he says anyway). He actually has started to like playing the sport. He never really had great football experiences with Pop Warner and club football. He gets to actually catch the ball and hit people. They didnt win but it was still fun watching.

Car Trouble UGH!

You know it seems like right after you take your car in, something else always goes wrong. And ever since my rear end accident last year , my car hasnt been the same. I had quite the scary experience as I was doing 70+ on the freeway last night. My car started doing crazy things. I hurried and got off the next exit and called Zach. After we talked about the sounds that were going on in the car, I called AAA( thanks dad for the card!) Zach hurried to my rescue and sat and waited for AAA to come. Well we got bored and I was so grateful I had my camera with me. Zoey even came too because its not a party without her! When AAA finally came and towed my car to my parents house I hurried to take a picture and the guy made fun of me. He said what a boring life I must have that I would take pictures of my car breaking down. I just kept saying " I blog." See Annie, dedication. Turns out there was something electrically wrong with my transmission.Thank you 3 year warranty! So the Jeep should be back to us tomorrow.
