Jeanne's School of dance turned 50! It is crazy to think that most of us teachers at Jeanne's took classes there.I will have to rummage through my pictures and see if I can find some old dance photos(coming soon, hopefully.)This weekend was recital weekend and I must say Thank Heavens its over! Its been quite a stressful week with dress rehearsals and actually performances. I left this morning at 9:45 and walked back in the door at 9:45 pm. It was a LONG day. I love nothing more than sharing my talents and passions with younger children. I love the "that was awesome" remark as they walk off stage from their very first performance EVER.My students had the biggest smiles and were asking me from that very moment when they could do it again. You also gotta love the occassional "Miss Whitney I need to go the bathroom really bad, I think I just peed my pants." Oh dont worry I got that twice today. That kinda makes me sound like I dont let my kids go to the bathroom. I do, I promise. Musical Theater summer camps start on Monday and I am so excited. The theme this year is " Not your daddy's disney." I love working with Jenee and I love being able to spread my love of music. It should be a very interesting 6 weeks. Forgive me if I dont post as often. Usually teaching 150 kids for 5 hours a day for 6 weeks could really tire a person. We will see how I manage.

YEAH FOR INTERNET!
Yes it is true, Zach and I have the internet once again at our house. It has been a long and very inconvenient 3 months. After countless times of people not showing up, they showed up yesterday! But of course things cannot go smoothly, we encounter a a bit of "drama" when the line diggers busted a water pipe. But water pipe fixed and internet in. Hopefully I will be better at posting... who knows.

Our needs
I saw this on Jo Dee and Andy's blog and laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. If you would like to do this google (your name) needs.
1. Whitney needs Jesus.
2. Whitney needs a bobby guard
3. Whitney needsto stay on track.
4. Whitney needs to stay off crack.
5. Whitney needs some serious help.
1. Zach needs a shower.
2. Zach needs to know the answers so he can set up his tank.
3. Zach needs to get some mental help.
4. Zach needs your signatures.
5. Zach needs a peanut butter sandwich.
Zach's are way better than mine. Obviously having the same name as Whitney Houston did not help me at all.

Grand Canyon Hike
It has been 3 weeks since Zach and I hiked the Grand Canyon, rim to rim, all in one day. I had to wait to blog about this because It was quite the experience. Ed Mcmullin, a really great guy in our ward asked us about 2 months ago to go hike the Grand Canyon with him and other members of our ward. INSTANTLY, I said No. I am not a hiker. I am not ashamed to tell you all this either. I hated girls camp hikes and I just dont care to hike at all. After a good month, Ed and Zach pretty much talked me into coming. That morning we met at Ed's house and he presented us with our
"CLUB ED" hats. We drove up with our friends Josh and Lars and as soon as we got there we checked into our hotel room. We started our hike about 2 in the afternoon. For those who havent hiked the Grand Canyon you are pretty much stepping down stair or stepping up stairs the whole time. There was no gradually trail down. After a couple of hours stepping down stairs my heels were starting to get blisters, my ankles were tired of rolling, and I was just tired. On the way down I informed Zach I will NEVER EVER EVER go hiking with him again. We got down to a place called Phantom Ranch ate Bratwursts and then after about 30 minutes headed back up the Canyon( time was 7:30pm). After eating I did not feel well. The Bratwurst did not settle well in stomach. So now Zach and I are hiking straight up these stairs and I am thinking to myself Im going to puke. After about 45 minutes of hiking I am puking on the side of the mountain. I felt so bad for Zach the whole way up. That hike up truly testified how out of shape I was. Within a 100 feet we probably stopped 2 times. It was Horrible!!!! we finally made it up to the top at 12:47 am and I walked right to the car and we went right to the hotel. The next morning the 4 of us( Lars, Josh , Zach and I ) looked like 90 year old people walking around. we were so sore. Lars and I were the worst. We couldnt lift our left leg without help from our arms. After this experience, I learned Hiking Is DEFINTELY not for me.
