I dont like Cats

Our house is surrounded by a few acres of land. I love having all that land around us but the land comes with some inappropriate behavior. We have wild cats that live in our yard and Its spring. You get my drift? The have seriously been mating for the last 72 hours straight. Its horrible! It sounds horrible! I feel terrible. Why is it so necessary for them to do their business right by all the windows? Especially at 2 AM RIGHT by OUR window. Its like a brothel outside. I went out once to hopefully split the stinking cats up because I was so sick of listening to their horrible mating noises. 10 cats all ran in different directions away from me. I was horrified! If anyone is looking for a cat please pick some out of my yard. They may keep mice, roaches, and scorpions out of my house but Ive hit my max these last couple of days.

In other news, Presley now has 5 teeth. Dont worry shes cutting her 1 yr. molars! WOOHOO(not)! Yesterday was ROUGH. Sacrament meeting was so horrible with Presley that Zach took her home for the remaining hours of church while I taught music in Primary. At the End of the day when we were so sick of hearing Presleys whining Zach turned to me and said, " We should have just bought a doll." I laughed because this is coming from the man who wants 200 children. He tells me all the time that we should have atleast a dozen. And I compromise with 2 or 3. Weve already started this week better. Last week Presley was waking up at 5:45 on the dot and today she slept in until 7:30. Its was amazing. I almost cried I was so happy.

We got Ponies yes we do, We got Ponies, how 'bout you?

FINALLY! By the time I was Presley age my hair was to the middle of my back. Uh, what happened to my child? We finally were able to put her mullet into some ponies. I think she looks dang cute if I do say so myself. The trick is to give her interesting things to play with like , curling irons and she will hold still for 30 seconds. I have learned to be quick.

EASTER

Presley LOVED hunting for Easter eggs. Even if they were right in front of her face. She totally grasped the concept. I love having Easter on Conference weekend.

The Party

I know this was weeks ago but I still want to document it for Presleys sake. We had a Mad Hatter Tea Party for Presley's 1st birthday. It was windy and plates were flying everywhere, but we still had a great time. I made Presleys banner using my Aunts Cricut. Seriously I. LOVE. IT! Tea pots and tea cups for our Tea party.

Presley in her "Alice" outfit. She would NOT keep her birthday hat on for the life of me.
Zach insisted that he wear his sombrero. Doesnt he make such a handsome Mexican? And now the beard is gone and I can finally love him again. SWEET!

Don't sweat the small stuff

Remember that post where I declared to the "Blog World" that I was Completely Anal and ridiculous? You would think someone with my "condition" would be OCD about everything. This is completely false. I have organized chaos. I could care less if the toilet paper is under or over. Seriously. I dont really care if people dont push the toothpaste from the bottom instead of the top. Or if it even gets on the cap. GASP! But... Zach does. It drives him nuts. And sometimes I do it on purpose. Shhhh... dont tell.

But hey I have things that bug me too. Like when I vacuum and Zach comes in from working outside and brings all of the grass he just mowed in with him. Or when he trims and shaves his face and his hair is all over the bathroom counter and in all my stuff. Or when I sweap and mop to get rid of the sticky and within seconds someone has dropped something making it sticky all over again. I'm a great cleaner. Most people think I clean ALL the time and that my house shines and sparkles just like the temple. False. I clean at night so that I know my house will actually stay clean for more the 2.3 seconds. That's just the life I have had to adapt to. Sure, I LOVE vacuum lines. They make my giddy like a school girl with a crush on the cutest boy in her class. I hate when I finish vacuuming and Zach and his big feet come trapsing up the stairs and happen to walk all over it, or Zoey running around on it, or Presley dumping her toys everywhere. Hence the vacuuming at night. NO ONE walks on it until morning. Sleep is bliss those nights.

My point is, Im learning. Im learning not to sweat the small things. Im learning that even though I hate toys all over my house that I should be praising the high heavens that I even get to have them at all or be able to have a child. Im learning that maybe instead of poke at Zach and his "OCD's" I should just do it his way. Cause like I said, it doesnt bother me anyway at all. Heavenly Father must sure have a great sense of humor. Having man and woman, polar opposites, coincide with one another for eternity. And then procreated and adding to lifes stress. What a funny joke. But, I really really like it.

One

Dear Presley,

Today you turned one. I seriously cant believe how fast time flew right by us. I have loved watching you learn and grow and become quite the little lady. You sure keep us all on our toes and we cant help but watch you all day. You bring light into every room you enter and you bring light into our lives. We thank Heavenly Father everyday for you. I cant imagine life without you. You make Daddy and I so happy. Words cannot express how much we love and adore you. Thank you for choosing us. You bless our lives everyday. You have learned a whole lot in the last year. You rolled over at 4 months, crawled at 6 months, and walked at 9 months. Now, you run. You run everywhere. I run everywhere after you making sure you will be safe. You love to play outside and you love "gogs". In fact, thats the first word out of your mouth every morning where you proceed to look for Zoey. You continue to put anything and everything in your mouth. You love to eat! You can eat a whole meal by yourself and then help Mom eat hers. You have become quite the pro at your sippy cup. You love to play in the bathroom with mom while she gets ready. You love to brush your hair with her brush. You love tub time with Daddy and never want to get out. You absolutely love water. You fed your very first Giraffe last week and laughed hysterically the whole time. You have no fears my love and I envy you. You can say "Mom", "Dada", "gog", "all done", "hey", "no", and "ya". Your latest obsession is pointing at whoever you are talking to. You love to imitate noises, especially the burp sound Dad taught you the other night. You love phones and your black purse Uncle Kyle sent you from Guatemala. You love your dollies. You love the phone cord and any string you can get your hands on. Im so proud to be your Mama. I love you little one. Please stay just how you are forever.
