Lets do Lunch!

I have had quite the lunching experiences over the last 2 days. Yesterday I was so fortunate to go out to lunch with my gorgeous and wonderful sisters-in-law and mother-in law. I love them all so much and love the time we get to spend together. I really feel like I have been part of their family for my whole life. They have totally accepted me as one of their own. Today I had lunch with friends. I love getting together with my friends. Sally, Melanie, Tori, Bethany and myself had a wonderful lunch at Rosa's. If my bottom starts getting bigger you all will know why. If Im going to keep up on all this lunch business Im going to have to start working out harder. Thanks for the wonderful lunch date ladies. I love you all!!

Back to School

I cant decide of going back to school is a good thing or a bad thing. I am extremely excited about some of the classes I am taking and about some of the teachers I have. I just hope that I can stay excited about them throughout the semester. The night before school started I was thinking to myself I need to take Pictures of Zach and I going off to school like our moms did when we were little. I apologize, I have yet to take pictures of us. I left earlier than Zach and when I got home from my night class Zach was already in comfy clothes and I was too tired to even care. Im taking a voice class at night and Im really excited about it but, I do not know if Im going to be able to stay awake. Back to school also means back to dance for me. I started teaching dance again. I had two weeks off and I was beginning to go insane with all the time I had on my hands. I usually like to live a hectic lifestyle. I have accumululated several more hours teaching dance this year and Im surprisingly thrilled about it. Instead of 5 hours a week I have 13 hours of dance. Im also taking my own dance class at MCC. I must say Im going to have quite the dancing experience. Tomorrow my brother in law Andrew will be a husband. He is marrying a great girl and Im really happy for the both of them. We really wish they werent moving to Utah so we could get to know her better and maybe even double date. Congratulations!!

Date Night

Zach and I have been really blessed with several young married couples in our ward. When we first moved into our house we invited people over to get to know them a little better. We had so much fun that night that our Elders Quorum president asked the Bishop if we could start a young married/single adult activities committee. Lauren Porter, one of my good friends in the ward was called as the Committee leader. She has planned a few wonderful activities for all of us. Zach and I have also been blessed with such a large and spacious home. Our home is usually the host for these parties. We were able to have some of the couples in our ward over for Italian Night. We usually don't have themed parties but Lauren thought it would be a great idea. We even had Italian Music playing in the background. Our menu consisted of Lauren's homemade Lasagna(delicious), French bread, salad and several different kinds of desserts. Lauren always has fun game for us to play and last night we played "The Name Game", where each person writes down any name and you have to guess who wrote that name down. The trick to the game is that you only get to hear the names that were written twice and so if you do not have a good memory this can be quite challenging. I am going to take a minute a brag about being married to "The Name Game" CHAMPION!! Zach ultimately won the game by writing down the name Curly and no one remembered that name was written down. I must say I was a very proud wife last night. We had a blast last night and are so thankful for our ward friends. They are amazing people and we love spending time with them. I was running around last night taking pictures and saying " I Blog."

Oh the Great Outdoors

Zach and I went camping for the first time since we've been married. My cousin Jami and her husband Spencer called and invited us for a quick camping trip. I, knowing Zach would love to go agreed to the plans. We drove up Saturday afternoon to a campground just beyond Strawberry and set up camp for the night. We dont have camping gear of our own so we had to borrow camping gear from our parents, whom we thank very much. So, if you are already thinking about what to get Zach and I for Christmas... hint hint. Dad Vance let us borrow MY kind of tent. The really easy one you take out of the bag, throw it up in the air and WAH LA your tent is finished. Spencer and Jami were quite jealous when we were done and they were still working. We had a fun night just sitting by the fire eating and talking. This morning Zach and I were incharge of breakfast. When I got this assignment 2 days ago I thought to myself " we need to get cereal and milk and we will call it breakfast." When Zach heard what I was planning he was APPALLED! I guess when you go camping you have to REALLY cook. I obviously didnt get the memo. Zach was then incharge of getting all the "Breakfast made for Campers" items together. We had breakfast burritos that we cooked on a little skillet. We packed up camp and headed off to go swimming in the resevoir after breakfast. To our surprise, swimming in the resevoir was a little harder than we imagined. So we took the easy way out and headed to a river where Jami and Spencer's dog Bella, who is a Newfoundland, which is trained for swimming, could play. Zach and I found out at the river we had a "Swimming" dog of our own. Zoey jumped right in and had a great time. We had a wonderful time being amongst the wild. Enjoy some of the pictures we took.

Zach and I turned ONE!

Well, It's official Zach and I have been married one year and two days exactly. We both are wondering, where did the time go? This probably was the fastest year of my life! We started off the day sleeping until 10( we dont usually do this so I thought I'd better write it down.) Zach hurried off to work while I got ready to do girl things( shopping and getting my nails done) with my mom and little sister. Zach surprised me with a beautiful arrangement of flowers when he got home from work and then we then hurried off to our 7:15 dinner reservation at Maggiano's. It's on the corner of Frank Lloyd Wright and Scottsdale road. It was fantastic, you all must go! I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and Zach ordered the Baked Ziti and Italian Sausage. YUMMY!!! I am so thankful for Zach and for the love he has for me. I always joke and say" Zach you are the keeper of my heart". But the truth is, he is and will forever be. Below are some pictures we took of our wonderful evening. You will see a few pictures of a really tall blue stile. As many of you know I am in school for Interior Design and I could not pass up taking a picture of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's creations. I thought it was really cool!

Girls(and Boys)Just Wanna Have Fun!

Today started off with a BANG! I got to go out with some of my girlfriends this morning for breakfast(Melanie and Sally were missing due to work and vacation). It was so fun being able to catch up with them. Most of us girls have been best friends since kindergarten and others joined as soon as we hit Junior High. After highschool graduation our lives sort of pulled us all in different directions. We try to keep in contact as best as we can but sometimes it can be challenging. No Matter how long it has been since we've talked, when we get together its like we just saw each other yesterday.Im sure TC Eggingtons thanks us for the non-stop chatter that was going on. We did this breakfast in honor of Jill moving up to Utah to attend UVSC and Brittany moving to Conneticut to attend a Dental Hygiene School. As I look back on my prime growing up years I am so thankful for friends that were such good examples. These girls will always be my "sisters". It was great fun and I can't wait until Christmas for our annual Girls Christmas party. Zach had an exciting day today as well. He and his friend Tyler strolled on down the Salt River this morning. It might not have ended the way Zach wanted(his phone got wet and is now broken), but he had fun catching up with Tyler who lives in Utah and works as a pilot. Zach and I are so grateful for good friendships. We love getting to spend time with our friends. Below you will see us girls- Bethany, Myself, Jill, Erica, Brittany and Tracy.

Dance, Dance, Dance

Well, I just finished Dance camp week. I can't tell you how much I love teaching the things that I love so much. Dance being one of those things. It is absolutely amazing how fast these kids pick things up. I got to teach the "babies" ballet, it was so fun watching them keep their backs straight and heels together in first position. They were definitely the cutest and best ballerinas ever. I would tell them that their heels needed to kiss and everytime they would do it they would make a kissing sound. I also got to teach musical theater, one of the other things I love! I love to sing and I love to teach others to sing. I have the best job ever!!! Sometimes, I have to admit that I don't feel that way. Zach is busily keeping A Ward Fence running. He is working so hard and I'm so grateful for him. He does so much for our family. He really helps things run smoothly. I love him so much.We are about to celebrate our ONE year anniversary! Time has gone by so fast! It is crazy it has already been one year. Im very excited for the many more years I get to spend with him.
